faq for the 2023 edition

Please confirm that you have read the following requirements before you register:

CONDITIONS OF REGISTRATION

1. Only participants who have completed all doses ofvaccine are accepted forregistration.

2. Participantsfrom high and medium risk areas are notallowed to register for Granfondo 2022.

3. Overseas personnel should follow the latest epidemic prevention and control policies of the People's Republic of China.

Participants who can not be vaccinated due to contraindications shall provide the original diagnostic certificate issued by a Grade III Level A hospital to the Organizing Committee within 10 working days after the completion of registration.

If there is one or more COVID-19 cases in the county where they live or travel, but they are not in the middle or high risk zone, they need to complete two nucleic acid tests three days before the race and the test results are negative. If you provide a nucleic acid test report (negative) within 24 hours when you check-in in Race office, you can participate.

Check-in in Race office process for all participants:

(Only the participant can check-in in Race office by himself. Wear a mask during the whole process of check-in.)

(1) Upload health code, trip code, vaccination certificate and nucleic acid report within 48 hours;

(2) Show your ID card to check-in in Race office, check the registration information, and get the sign-in card;

(3) On-site nucleic acid test (free of charge);

(4) To get number bib and number plate;

(5) Collect the race bag, pins,tie and souvenir;

(6) Timing Chip ( Please prepare 300 RMB in cash as a deposit when you check-in. The deposit will be refunded when you return the chip to Race office in Lijiang.)

(7) End of check-in

Check-in process for single station:

(Only the participant can check-in in Race office by himself. Wear a mask during the whole process of check-in.)

(1) Show your ID card to check-in in Race office (show vaccination certificate, health green code and itinerary green code), check the registration information, and get the sign-in card.

(2) To get number bib and number plate;

(3) Collect the race bag, pins, tie and souvenir;

(4) Timing Chip ( Please prepare 300 RMB in cash as a deposit when you check-in. The deposit will be refunded when you return the chip to Race office in Lijiang.)

(5) End of check-in

For 4-stage race participants :

(1) One set of race materials (including race manual, number plate, number bib and bag);

(2) One souvenir bag of Granfondo;

(3) One cultural product of Granfondo;

(4) One Shirt for Finish all four stage races (to be collected after Lijiang race);

(5) Certain gifts from sponsors.

For a single stage race:

One set of race materials (including race manual, number plate, number book and bag);

There is no airport in Chengjiang city, participants can fly to Changshui International Airport in Kunming, or take high-speed rail to Kunming South Railway Station or Kunming Station.

Kunming Changshui International Airport is about 61 kilometers away from Chengjiang City. It costs about 240 yuan to take a taxi.

Kunming Station is about 55 kilometers away from Chengjiang City, about 200 yuan by taxi.

Kunming South Railway Station is about 36 kilometers away from Chengjiang City, about 150 yuan by taxi.

9:00 AM, November 5th, Kunming Tuodong Gymnasium (Bus will stop in front of the natatorium) to Chengjiang Ramada Plaza Fuxian Lake Hotel.

Lijiang--Kunming Ticket price:200RMB(1 person+ 1 bike)

9:00AM, November 12th, Guanfang Hotel (Parking lot) to Kunming Tuodong Gymnasium.

Please book it from the logistics sales in the organizer's electronic manual before the race.

Public transport in Lijiang is very well convenient. If you need to return to Kunming, you can take a train from Lijiang to Kunming (only 3 hours).

According to the epidemic prevention requirements, all participants and their entourage should take the vehicles designated by the organizing committee.

1. Please log in the electronic manual of the race and check the information query mode 3 days before the race. Please take the bus and truck according to the number.

2. The participants shall disassemble and pack their bicycles and give them to the truck staff before the transfer. After arriving at the destination, participants can collect their own vehicle with the bib number (the time and place of collection will be notified in advance by the volunteer for each bus). The participants shall be responsible for any damage or loss of the unpacked bicycle during the transition.

3. The city transfer bus will leave on time. If someone is late for getting on, he/she must bear the consequences by himself/herself.

4. The Race office has the right to adjust the departure time according to the needs of the race. The final departure time shall be subject to the announcement of the race office.

During the event, participants are not encouraged to drive themselves. If you really need to drive yourself, please contact the organizing committee immediately after registration and send the relevant email to hq@nordicways.com. The reported information includes but is not limited to: license plate information, passenger information, specific itinerary plan during the race; All self-drive vehicles should follow the route and time of transfer announced by the Organizing Committee. All accompanying personnel should strictly comply with the epidemic prevention requirements of the event.

This year, Specialize China will provide bicycle debugging and maintenance services for participants.

Please find the specific time in the Maintenance service mode of the electronic manual of the race.

We strongly recommend that you bring your own spare tire and portable air pump in case of emergency. The Organizing Committee will also place air pump at individual supply stations on the track. The organizing Committee will not provide a neutral service and will not allow any team or club cars on the track.

After the race, each participant can check his/her performance and download the e-completion certificate from the official website and electronic manual of the race. At the end of the race, each finisher will receive a finishing medal at the finish line.

After the race, log in to the electronic manual and fill in your personal information in the bonus claim module. After the organizing committee verifies that the prize is correct, it will pay the prize within 10 working days. If the participants who commit foul or other cheating behaviors are found, the ranking and the prize will be cancelled, and the following ranking will not increase.

All participants should read the rules of the event thoroughly (Please check the event website and the event electronic manual).

Special Notice: Yunnan is a high altitude area with changeable climate. Please check your equipment well. It is recommended that you bring your cycling coat, gloves and other thermal insulation equipment. The organizing committee will also prepare thermal insulation blankets at the reception bus and drinking station.

We have GPX files, but previous experience tells us that due to weather or other uncontrollable factors, the race course may be adjusted last-minute before the race. In order to avoid causing unnecessary trouble, we will not provide the GPX files. Besides, all stages are ridden on closed roads. There are clear signs and staff and volunteers on the course. Please follow the signs and the marshalls..

Tip: IF you see cones on the road, please do not cross or ride through the cones. Cones are always placed somewhere for a reason.
