Chaba Brewing supports GF Yunnan in Lijiang!

We are delighted to announce Chaba Brewing as our official beer sponsor for this year’s Granfondo Yunnan. Born and raised in Kunming, Chaba has become a significant brand name in the beer and restaurant market in the provincial capital of Yunnan. Founded and managed by a Belgian who has been living in Kunming for many years, Chaba will be showcasing their wide variety of beer labels during the last stage of this year’s event in Lijiang, including of course a fresh beverage for everyone at the finish.

Chaba’s craft beers have become popular in the region, indeed, and some of their labels have even won prizes in international beer competitions already. This is the case for a.o. their white wheat beer, the sunshine wheat with citrus flavour, Daimei Goose, and the exciting Banna Colada, a very original ‘New England IPA’ with flavours of coconut and pineapple that sends your mind straight to a South-East Asian tropical beach. Most of the catalogue will be available for try-out at the event finish arenas in Lijiang.

Chaba also has a fine and comfortable bar restaurant in the city centre of Kunming, Wu Hua district, in Huo Guo Lu number 40. Visitors can try the local beers, but also some Belgian ones, and they can get a flavour of some typical Yunnan snacks and food. Obviously, there’s also some western dishes on the menu. Sports fans can also watch games and races on a few TV screens.
