Stage 3: Miga and Bilguu rule along Gaoligong

The longest and toughest stage of this year’s edition of Granfondo Yunnan was once again ‘Along Gaoligong’ in Tengchong, a 200 km long technical course with 3000m of elevation gain. Our race leaders Miga and Anne Stegehuis were both keen on dotting the i today and so they did. Miga won out of a three-man breakaway that he he himself set up as early as 72km into the race, while Stegehuis was just too strong for her fellow competitors.

Josh Bauer, Wu Yunfei and Zhi Chaoyuan (DNF) were among those who saw their chances for the overall victory reduced.
